Abstract:
Differential thermal analysis and the method of damped torsional vibrations of a crucible with a melt were used to measure the melting temperature and the temperature dependence of the viscosity of the melt of AlCo 0.158Cr0.084Y0.003 aluminide. It was found that the compound is stable upon heating to 1007°C. The melting temperature of the compound is close to 1069°C. The temperature dependences of the viscosity of the melt exhibit an anomaly at 1110°C, which is likely related to reversible changes in the short-range order.
