Abstract:
The behavior of the rare-earth sublattice in the compound TbCo//5// multiplied by (times) //1 is investigated by neutron diffraction analysis in the range 300-500 degree K, which includes the easy plane-easy axis transition. The maximum possible angle of misalignment is determined for the moments of the rare-earth and cobalt sublattices. The magnetic moments of terbium and cobalt ions given in the literature for the compound TbCo//5 are far from their actual values.
