Abstract:
Equations are proposed for the polarization curves of metal electrodeposition at high-resistance, nonequipotential electrodes. The equations incorporate the variable resistance of the electrode across the deposit's growth-front region. Kinetic parameters for the electrolytic deposition of copper and nickel at the growth front are obtained via the relations derived.
