Abstract:
The set of equations for the heat and material balances that describes transients in a furnace with a fluidized bed is presented. It is shown that the fluidized bed as a controlled object is a complicated plant having many volumes. Comparisons with experiments on industrial boilers having a fluidized bed were made. Expressions for calculating the time constant of the transients were derived.
