Abstract:
The foreign publications dealing with problems of N2O formation in circulation fluidized bed furnaces were reviewed. The effects of bed temperature, volatile component concentrations in fuel and limestone addition on N2O emission were analyzed. It was shown that N2O emission depended in the main on coal temperature and type, and high N2O emissions corresponded to low NOx practically did not change for coal combustion in wide temperature range. N2O emission decreasing could be achieved by additional supplying propane or methane into furnace upper part (cyclone).
