Abstract:
Heat transfer from an annular calorimeter to circulating fluidized bed at a ″cold″ device closed with dispersive material and open with gas has been investigated. Data on heat transfer rate in different points along the layer height are given. It has been obtained that a layer density equal to more than 30 kg per m3 is the main factor which determines heat transfer. If a layer density is less than 10 kg per m3, heat transfer is determined mainly by gas convection. The heat transfer rate for the layer density typical for the upper part of a boiler does not exceed 30-40 W per m2×K while a radiation heat transfer rate is equal to 80-100 W per m2×K.
