Abstract:
Factors affecting the heat transfer and the creation of special flow conditions at the reactor walls for enhancing the heat transfer rate are investigated. It is found that this is done best by placing louvers near the reactor walls, which eliminate dead zones of bed material thus enhancing the heat transfer.
