Abstract:
The mechanism of heat transfer between a fluidized bed and bodies of various shapes immersed in it is investigated. The paper deals with the effect of ″gas-particle″ system properties, as well as the shape and arrangement of the bodies, on the hydrodynamics of the flow past these bodies and the heat transfer from them. The proportion of heat convectively dissipated by the gas is estimated.
