Abstract:

Local and mean (with respect to height) coefficients of the heat exchange of a vertical flat wall with an inhibited and a freely boiling layer are determined. Considerable variations of the local coefficients of heat exchange in a freely boiling layer are found. Checkerwork results in equalization of heat exchange coefficients with respect to surface. The values of heat exchange coefficients in the tube wall-adjacent zone are found to be low.
