Abstract:

An evaluation is made of the widely used methods of heat engineering calculations of fuel contents and combustion products employing different methods of gas analysis. Accuracy of the determination of the volume contents of fuel, of oxygen contained in the air used for combustion, of carbon black content in dry combustion products and of the volume of dry combustion products, as well as the determination of the excess air coefficient are discussed.
