Abstract:
The article discusses the problem of the gas distribution in shaft layer furnaces, the mathematical model of which can be reduced to a system of three equations - motion, continuity, and state. Potential, speed, and pressure-field relationship functions are obtained covering various shaft geometries. The mathematical model suggested in this article is well suited for numerical analysis of the heat exchange in shaft furnaces by various methods of blast introduction.
