Abstract:
Peculiarities of kinetic electron transitions in magnetic semiconductors, emerging as a result of nonstationary self-heating by electric current, are described using spin-fluctuation theory. It is shown that, in the bistability region of FeSi, self-oscillations of temperature and current are excited, which correspond to transitions between the metal and semiconductor phases.
