Abstract:
Experimental and theoretical studies of the thermoelectric power of weak band magnets have been performed using (FeSi)(1-chi)(CoSi)(chi) solid solutions as model compositions. It is shown that the experimental data obtained cannot be explained within conventional single-particle models. The results are discussed using a generalized spin-fluctuation theory taking into account the sp-d exchange interaction.
