Abstract:
An algorithm is proposed for constructing a Debye-type self-consistent model of a nonmetallic isotropic solid. Using germanium as an example, it is demonstrated that the thermodynamic quantities can be adequately described over a wide range of temperatures even under significantly simplifying assumptions about the thermodynamic parameters.
