Abstract:
The Friedel approach is used to theoretically describe the anomalies of spin magnetic susceptibility that are caused by the resonance scattering of conduction electrons by impurities in metals and doped semiconductors. The localization of the electron density under resonance conditions is shown to result in the temperature dependence of the susceptibility that is described by the Curie-Weiss law and in resonance-related maxima in the concentration and temperature dependences of the susceptibility.
