Abstract:

For systems with aftereffect, we suggest a method for extending a control class so that the solution to the control problem exists and is approximated by a minimizing sequence of usual controls in this class. We obtain effective criteria describing the set of generalized controls for some special cases, namely, for systems with several constant delays in the control and for integro-differential systems. We also discuss how to obtain necessary optimality conditions for generalized controls in the form of a maximum principle.
