Abstract:
The spectral and kinetic parameters of radiation-stability scintillators based on alkali-earth oxides and fluorides (pure and doped Ce3+-ions) and some alkaline halides under high intensity X-ray synchrotron radiation of the VEPP-3 storage ring are studied. A strong decrease of the decay time and the luminescence quantum yield and a change of the spectrum under high intensity SR are observed. The effects have a common nature for all crystals and are connected with an increase of the non-radiative energy transfer efficiency from the lower excited states of the luminescence center under high intensity of the excitation.
