Abstract:
The electrical properties of sulfur at very high pressures (20-50 GPa) were studied by impedance spectroscopy. Measurements were carried out in diamond anvil cells at room temperature and frequencies in the range 1 Hz to 100 kHz. The anomaly in impedance observed around 37 GPa was attributed to structural disordering.
