Abstract:
The results of experimental and theoretical investigations of the influence of mechanical stresses on the phase transitions in polymer-polymer systems possessing lower and upper critical solution temperatures and featuring crystalline phase separation are summarized. The mechanism of the effects of shear and tensile stress fields on the position of boundary curves (binodals, liquidus) is considered.
