Abstract:
The influence of the compressing electroinsulation coating, the annealing in magnetic field on the domain structure, magnetostriction and magnetic losses of Fe-Al alloy were investigated. The increase of magnetostriction, decrease of magnetic losses and appearance of residual magnetostriction with the formation of electroinsulation coating were observed. These unusual changes are connected with destabilization of domain boundaries. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
