Abstract:
Reactions of aliphatic beta-amino-beta-(trichloromethyl)vinyl ketones with an excess of ethylenediamine at room temperature afford substituted 2-acetonylideneimidazolidines. The structure of 2-pivaloylmethyleneimidazolidine was established by X-ray diffraction analysis.
