Abstract:
Consideration is given to the problem of zero-controllability in a part of variables which consists in driving - in finite time and by constrained controls - a nonlinear system from some domain, to a position where the given part of the phase variables is equal to zero. As solution can be reduced to simple linear problems of optimal control by choosing the structure of controls anal nonlinear changes of variables. Sufficient conditions of nonlocal zero-controllability in, a part of variables have been obtained. The relationship between this problem and that of stabilization in a part of variables, which goes back to the worlcs of V. V. Rumyantsen, is discussed. The application of the results obtained is illustrated by a constructive solution of the nonlinear problem of reorientation (without damping the angular speed) of an asymmetric rigid body. As possible applications to spacecraft dynamics are mentioned. Results of computer modeling are presented.
