Abstract:
Phase equilibria in the La-Ca-Co-O system were thoroughly studied at I 100 C in air. The solubility boundaries and the structure of the La1-xCaxCoO3-delta and (La1-yCay)(2)CoO4 solid solutions were determined by X-ray and neutron powder diffraction. The temperature and oxygen pressure dependences of the oxygen nonstoichiometry of La1-xCaxCoO3-delta complex oxides with x = 0.1 and 0.2 were studied thermogravimetrically. The defect structure of La1-xCaxCoO3-delta solid solutions was theoretically simulated, and a quasi-chemical description of disordering processes was suggested. The partial molar enthalpies and entropies of solution of oxygen in the La1-xCaxCoO3-delta crystal lattice were determined.
