Abstract:
Experimental data on the selectivity of the interaction of different metal ions with titanium diselenide TiSe2 preliminarily intercalated with transition metals and silver are analyzed. A model relating the selectivity coefficient to the ionization potentials of the ions involved in the reaction is proposed. It is demonstrated that, for a more accurate quantitative description, it is necessary to take into account the softening of the host lattice, which is actually observed for the polaron type of localization of charge carriers.
