Abstract:
A study is reported on the effect of the position of the polaron band relative to the Fermi level on the phase diagram. The validity of the phase stability criterion obtained is tested in the specific example of silver-intercalated TiSe2 and TiTe2. (C) 2000 MAIK ``Nauka/Interperiodica{''}.
