Abstract:
An investigation has been made of the influence of plasma-powder facing schedules on the structure, phase composition, and properties of a Pr-N73Kh16S3R3 alloy coating. Optical microscopy, was used to study the structure of specimens after chemical etching. The Rockwell hardness of the facing layers was measured, and the microhardness of the structural constituents was determined. X-ray diffractometry was used to study the phase composition of solid specimens and electrolytic precipitates. The structure and phase composition of the facing layer depend chiefly on the facing schedule and the conditions of interdiffusion and mixing of the matrix and facing metal.
