Abstract:
It was shown that titanium tetrapolyethylene glycolate could be used as a new biocompatible water-soluble sol-gel precursor. Colloidal and polymeric hydrogels could be obtained depending on the conditions used such as water molar content and polyethylene glycol excess. Polymer gels were formed when excessive amounts of polyethylene glycol were used at relatively low water content.
