Abstract:
A new combined bioactive silicon,zinc-glycerohydrogel was prepared by the sol gel method using silicon and zinc glycerolates as precursors. The disperse phase of the hydrogel was isolated by exhaustive cold extraction and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy, atomic emission spectrometry, IR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis; and the model of the structure was proposed. The studied gel was shown to exhibit pronounced wound-healing and regenerative activity, possesses moderate antibacterial effect, and can be recommended for deeper studies with the purpose of including in medical practice.
