Abstract:
The interaction of the polyanions of oxygen-containing salts with the chains of nonionic polymers in solutions was simulated taking into account the interaction between the polyanions. The developed model was used to design a program for the numerical solution of the derived equations and to calculate both the distribution of polyanions among the polymer chains and the distribution of interacting polyanions along a single chain. Variants with different ratios of the amounts of polyanions and macromolecules in solution were analyzed. The conditions under which the existence of either homogeneous or inhomogeneous distribution of polyanions becomes energetically favorable were elucidated. The distribution of polyanions depends appreciably on the energy of interaction between them, while the interaction energy and the binding energy with the macromolecules influence the distribution only slightly. The obtained results are consistent with experimental data.
