Abstract:
The Abbe diagram is modified by introducing an additional quantitative criterion, namely, the spectral parameter of structural disorder. The capabilities of the extended diagram for describing the electronic and optical properties of vitreous materials are discussed using lead silicate glasses (group of dense flints) as an example.
