Abstract:
Temperature displacement of the optical absorption exponential edge in statically disordered solids have been analyzed in terms of single-phonon approximation. For binary PbO-SiO2 glasses, as an example, the energy of phonons responsible for the shift of electron levels in band tails is estimated. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
