Abstract:
LnCo(1-x)Mn(x)O(3+/-delta) (Ln = Pr, Nd; x = 0.25, 0.50, 0.75) solid solutions were synthesized, and their structure was studied. The oxygen content of the solid solutions was determined by thermogravimetry in air at temperatures between 700 and 1200 degrees C. The results are compared with those for LnMnO(3+delta) and LnCoO(3-delta), and the oxygen stoichiometry of the materials is correlated with the oxidation state of the 3d transition metal.
