Abstract:
Based on the results of X-ray diffraction analysis of quenched samples and coulometric titration measurements, the phase equilibria of the La-Sr-Mn-O system at 1100 degrees C were examined and are illustrated in the form of phase diagrams. Two types of solid solutions La1-xSrxMnO3+/-y and (La1-xSrx)(2)MnO4+/-lambda were found to exist in the system, The homogeneity ranges of solid solutions depended on thermodynamic conditions (T, P-o2, and composition of the system), (C) 1997 Academic Press.
