Abstract:
The experimental data on the oxygen nonstoichiometry delta of copper-containing lanthanum cobaltite LaCo0.7CU0.3O3 - (delta) were analyzed in the oxygen partial pressure and temperature ranges 10(-3) less than or equal to Po-2 less than or equal to1 atm and 973 less than or equal to T less than or equal to 1223 K, respectively. Two defect structure models were suggested for LaCo0.7CU0.3O3 -delta that satisfied the electroneutrality conditions, p + 2{[} V-o(..)] = {[}Cu'(Co)] (I, the model of quasi-free holes) and {[} Co-Co(-)] + 2{[}V (..)(O)] = {[} Cu'(Co)] (II, the model of localized holes). Smoothing the theoretical curves toward the experimental data by the nonlinear regression method was performed to show that the suggested defect structure models were adequate in the temperature range under consideration and to determine the equilibrium constants of point defect formation. The isothermal and isobaric dependences of the concentration of defects, including holes h(Co-co(.)) and electron acceptors Cu'(.)(co), were determined.
