Abstract:
It is studied experimentally how the dosimetric sensitivity in the dosimetric thermoluminescence (TL) peak at 450 K in TLD-500 detectors depends on the occupancy of deep traps by charge carriers of unlike signs. A kinetic model for the TL of F-centers taking into account the nonradiative capture of electrons in deep hole traps is proposed. The model explains the variation dynamics of the dosimetric sensitivity and dependences of the TL output on the heating rate during filling of deep centers. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd.
