Abstract:
The magnetic, electrical, and optical properties of the high-entropy alloy AlCrFeCoNiCu of equiatomic composition produced by melt spinning - the method of a rapid quenching from the melt, - with a cooling rate from 10(5) to 10(6) K/s have been studied in the wide range of magnetic fields (H <= 90 kOe) and temperatures (2 K < T < 1000 K). The revealed regularities of behavior of the physical properties of the alloy are discussed with allowance for peculiar features of the ultra-fine-grained submicrocrystalline bcc structure that contains the nanosized multicomponent clusters and nanophases with the degree of an atomic order and the chemical composition that are prone to change upon annealing of the samples.
