Abstract:
The Heisenberg and Ising spin models, which are well known in the quantum theory of magnetism, have found wide application not only in various fields of physics, but also in information science and biology for the description of the universal collective (in particular, critical) behavior of systems of identical objects with a discrete or continuous spectrum of possible states. For many years these (pseudo) spin models have been a subject of active theoretical and experimental research. In this paper, several pseudospin models are considered that describe classical and quantum lattice gas, ferroelectrics, mixed-valence systems, atomic-molecular systems with nonhard valence cores, neuron nets, and nontrivial classical and quantum skyrmion-like topological excitations in spin 2D systems.
