Abstract:
Quasi-stationary process of evaporation of a spherical droplet under the effect of directed optic radiation is investigated. The temperature distribution inside the particle is expressed in terms of a heat and mass transfer processes in a vapor-gas mixture near the droplet at arbitrary Knudsen numbers, evaporation and energy accommodation coefficients are calculated from the Boltzman equation solution. The value of droplet evaporation rate is in proportion to the efficiency factor of the radiation absorption which is dependent on the optical properties of the particle.
