Abstract:
The single-component gas drift in capillaries under resonance optical emission is studied theoretically. The surface and so-called collisional mechanisms of the phenomenon due, correspondingly, to the difference in the accomodation coefficients and collisional cross-sections of excited and unexcited particles are analyzed. The phenomenon of light-induced pressure difference in a closed cuvette is studied. The hydrodynamic, intermediate and Knudsen drifts regimes are considered. As a result, the dependences of kinetic coefficients on the Knudsen number are obtained. A possibility of varying the drift direction in the intermediate regime observed before is described. The comparison between the theory and experiment is performed.
