Abstract:

An approximate expression for the growth velocity of the elongated droplike aggregate in a weakly supersaturated magnetic fluid in the presence of external field was derived. The critical volume of such an aggregate decreasing with the increase of external field was estimated. The number of viable nuclei arising in unit volume per unit time was calculated.
