Abstract:
The magnetization dynamics of a homogeneous moderately concentrated ferrocolloid is described by equations derived in the mean-field approximation using the Smoluchowski equation for a many-particle distribution function. The characteristic relaxation times are calculated for the magnetization as a function of the particle concentration, the parameters of their magnetodipole interaction, and the external magnetic field.
