Abstract:
The article presents the scheme of electrical power connections which retains consistent level of reliability during equipment repairs. Continuous trend of concentration of power in the energy facilities poses serious tasks of reliability and cost of electric systems in general, and, in particular, the task of establishing reliable and economical main schemes for the electrical connections between the power objects and power distribution devices. The problem of reliability and cost is linked to the growing role of the separate connections for the maintenance of normal operation of energy systems, on the one hand, and the significant increase in unit cost of the equipment, on the other hand. This applies especially (but not exclusively) to super high and ultrahigh voltage. As a solution, the method of connecting a replacement switch to polygonal scheme to keep the ring structure in a closed circuit under normal, repair and post-accident working conditions (including periods of repair of the equipment used to connect the replacement switch itself) is proposed. This quality is achieved through the use of only one additional switch and without reducing the reliability of the scheme under normal conditions.
