Abstract:
We obtain the relations for calculating the gas temperature and the heat transfer efficiency as functions of the intensification density in the case of heat transfer by radiation under the condition of constant temperature of the surface being heated. We use the condition of autogeneration of the efficiency based on stream heat capacity and obtain the dependence of the direct heat transfer efficiency on the intensification density. We analyze the peculiarities of the `'e-i''-characteristics in the case of heat transfer by radiation in comparison with heat transfer by convection, formulate the upper and lower thermotechnical crisis conditions, and propose relations for the calculation. We determine the values of the effective coefficients of heat transfer by radiation. We investigate an example of use of the computational relations for the melting period in a steel-smelting furnace.
