Abstract:
Results are presented from use of the finite-elements method to solve problems concerning the compression and spreading of a tubular semifinished product without a mandrel. The main goal of the article is to analyze the dependence of the error of the solution on the element base and time step. It is found that the accuracy of the solution depends on these indices.
