Abstract:
An analysis is made of the effect of the method of production and deformation regime on the quality of railcar axles made at the Ural Railcar Plant. To make the production process more efficient and stabilize the quality of the initial semifinished products and rough axles, specialists at the Nizhniy Tagil Metallurgical Combine worked with the plant to study the feasibility of using semifinished products made from the combine's converter steel with a cross section of 300 x 360 mm and diameter of 430 mm.
