Abstract:
Results of a study illustrating the effect of temperature and moisture content in the atmosphere (5\% H-2 + 95\% N-2) on the removal of carbon and oxidation of the surface layer of technical alloy Fe - 3\% Si (electrical anisotropic steel of the nitride-copper production variant) are presented. Variation of the concentration of silicon over the thickness of the surface layer is studied. The types of phases forming on the surface and their influence on the occurrence of the processes are determined. Annealing parameters (temperature and moisture content of the atmosphere) at which the processes of decarburization and oxidation are decelerated and even stopped are established.
