Abstract:

The procedure of extension is considered in the problem of the minimization of the energy functional, based on the closing and on the process of making convex the hodograph of the right-hand side of the system of differential equations in the auxiliary optimization problem. A method is presented for the construction of a minimizing sequence of controls, solving the initial problem. The cases when it is not necessary to make convex the hodograph of the right-hand side of the system are established.
