Abstract:
`The introduction of a small delay into dynamical systems described by differential equations changes the behavior of motions {[}1-3]. When studying such systems, methods of qualitative theory of differential equations are used {[}4-6]. In the present paper, we analyze the influence of a small delay on periodic oscillations in a one-degree-of-freedom conservative system by methods of perturbation theory for essentially nonlinear systems {[}7], the role of a nonconservative perturbation being played by the delay. For systems of ordinary differential equations, nonconservative perturbations of conservative systems were considered in {[}8-10].
