Abstract:
Novel hybrid chitosan-containing hydrogels were obtained from various functionalized silicon glycerolates by the sol gel method. According to SEM images of aerogels prepared by supercritical drying in liquid CO2, chitosan serves as a template in the structuring of hybrid hydrogels. The hydrogels obtained are nontoxic, exhibit pronounced hemostatic activity, and are promising for medical use.
