Abstract:
The cathode luminescence of the intrinsic localized electronic states in glasses was studied using the excitation with pulsed e-beam (180 keV; 700 A/cm(2); 2 ns). The fine structures of luminescence spectra (frequency intervals of v(0) = 820 cm(-1) and v(1) = 520-640 cm(-1)) were found. The effect mentioned was interpreted as a manifestation of electron-vibrational interactions during the radiative triplet-singlet relaxation of excited L-centers. It is shown that the electronic excitations interact with the local vibrations of non-bridging oxygen atoms and phonon modes of glass network. (C) 2004 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH \& Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
